Storage rates

Storage is billed monthly against the space your stock physically occupies in our owned warehouse in Ras Al Khor, Dubai. The default unit is the cubic metre (CBM), with two rates depending on whether the SKU needs ambient or climate-controlled conditions. Pallet and shelf alternatives are available on quote for sellers whose inventory shape fits them better.

Two CBM rates cover almost every category we handle.

Ambient warehouse conditions for stock that does not need temperature control. Fashion, electronics, packaged food, home goods, accessories, beauty (non-temperature-sensitive). Charged per CBM occupied, monthly.

AED 85 per cbm per month

Temperature and humidity controlled zones for stock that needs cooler or more stable conditions. Cosmetics with active ingredients, certain supplements, sensitive electronics, chocolate, candles, anything spec’d for a controlled range. Charged per CBM occupied, monthly.

AED 120 per cbm per month

Some sellers’ inventory shape fits a per-pallet or per-shelf billing better than per-CBM. Bulky, uniform, stackable stock often runs cheaper on the pallet rate; very small SKUs with high rotation sometimes run cheaper on the shelf rate.

Best for bulky, uniform, stackable stock that comes in by the pallet and ships in larger batches. Standard UAE pallet footprint, charged per occupied pallet position, monthly.

Custom quote

Best for small SKUs with steady rotation: cosmetics, supplements, small electronics, accessories. Charged per occupied shelf position, monthly.

Custom quote

No inbound handling charge. Receiving the inbound load on the dock, scanning and counting against the packing list, photographing for the Goods Received Note, and putting away to the right zone is part of the storage relationship, not a separate line on your invoice.

If you need barcode labels applied at receiving for SKUs that did not arrive with manufacturer EAN, that is the only per-unit charge at intake. See onboarding checklist.

Quick decision guide; your account manager will validate at quote.

  • Standard category, ambient conditions? Dry CBM. The default rate for almost every e-commerce category we handle.
  • Cosmetics, chocolate, sensitive electronics, anything spec’d for a controlled range? Climate-controlled CBM. Pay the higher rate where the SKU actually needs it, not across the whole catalogue.
  • Bulky and uniform on pallets? Pallet rate on quote. You will pay for fewer units and your team can ship by the pallet when needed. Common for FMCG, beverages, packaged food, larger appliances.
  • Lots of small SKUs that pick frequently? Shelf rate on quote. Faster pick times, more visibility, easier to cycle-count.
  • Mix? Bill each segment under its right unit. We do this routinely; it is not an edge case.

For sellers running through Amazon prep or Noon prep, storage between inbound and the marketplace handover follows the same rate structure.

Standard rates apply for as long as your stock sits with us. We do not have an automatic punitive long-term surcharge today; if your stock turn drops far below typical e-commerce rotation, your account manager will reach out to discuss whether a different unit or a custom arrangement is the better fit for slow-moving SKUs. Contact us for long-term arrangements when you know stock is going to sit for many months.

Standard inclusions on every storage SKU, no separate line items:

  • Receiving and put-away. Inbound shipment receiving is included, not a separate charge.
  • Warehouse security. 24/7 site security, CCTV coverage, fire suppression, climate range that protects ambient and chilled goods.
  • Daily ops handling. Cycle counting on a defined schedule, replenishment from bulk to pick face, regular stock health checks.
  • Inventory visibility via the Odoo portal. SKU-level stock levels you can check any time as part of your SamVertex account.
  • Access for tours and audits. Bring your auditor or your buying team in; we will host them.
